How did i get Here? 

At the age of 15, I had a calling on my life to be in Ministry as well as to be a Karate instructor.  Every Pastor I knew at that time had a secondary or part time job, however, I never thought those two worlds would eventually intertwine.  If you would have asked me in 2010 if I would be where I am now, the answer would have been NO. If you would have asked me if I would become a Christian Comedian, the answer would have been NO. So how did I get here?

In 1999 after winning a world title and national Gold Medal in 1998, I decided to pursue standup comedy full time.  In 2000, I moved to Los Angeles and I toured the United States from 2000 to 2011 performing in night clubs, colleges, and bars and spending my time away from my family. Getting carried away in the Hollywood lifestyle being consumed and driven by success, I was living a very hypocritical life.  I was one person with my family & friends and another when I was on tour, pulling further away from what God had called me for. I knew His love for me and I knew His Word but I was choosing to be selfish and disobedient. and eventually everything was brought into the light causing some irreparable consequences that i am still walking out daily. Luke 8:17 says, "What we hide in darkness God will bring into the light" and that is exactly what God did with my sin. In November of 2011 after hitting rock bottom within my sin, I made a decision to stop going on tour and get out of the world of stand up comedy and pull back away from Hollywood.  I prayed to God that if He would not take everything away from me I would give everything, all my talents, and every part of me to Him.  I separated myself from everything that separated me from God. This also meant giving up over half our household income.  After several months of trying to figure out what we where going to do for work and after a lot of prayer, forgiveness, and hard spirit filled self discovery, almost a year later the answer came to me.  I felt led for me to go back to teaching Karate.  After looking for a Karate school in our area that taught the same style that I was trained in, finding no options or Schools that fit, we were still at a loss with out an answer of where to teach.  So I decided to open a Dojo in our garage.  The same day I made this decision that night I was woken out of a sound sleep with God speaking to my heart. God told me that I was to not just open the Dojo, I was to take the void that other Dojo's create by removing eastern philosophy and religion and replace that void with Christianity.  Starting with four students in September 2012, I now have over 60 Students ranging from age 2 to age 63 and this ministry is continuing to grow each month. This has truly Because I'm not just our ministry but our family business my oldest two boys Remington 13 and Sterling 10 are advance Belts, help me teach a lot of our classes. Even the youngest Daxton who is five keeps asking when he gets to “start teaching classes to the Little guys”. When i am not Changing lives in the Dojo or on the Ice Coaching or Reffering Hockey, i am Changing live all over the United states and Canada. I am A full time Certified Health Coach. Helping other Change their life to achieve healthy body, healthy mind, healthy finances, and healthy spirits. 

Now God has called me to the stage again using my testimony and my comedic stories to not just entertain but to also point people to Christ so that they can "Finish Strong."

COMEDY SPEAKING MINISTRY

 A joyful heart doeth good like a medicine... so that is what my comedy gifts are being used for. Healing hearts and lives with laughter, and bringing smiles to those who are downhearted with clean edifying humor is the best explanation of my speaking ministry. My teachings range from straight standup to sharing my full testimony. I cater each speaking engagement and performance to each specific audience and gathering. I am So thankful that God is using me and my sense of Humor to change lives and turn hearts towards Him.

MARTIAL ARTS MINISTRY

Using Karate and Martial Arts we have been able to touch lives and teach people to not only protect themselves through Self Defense we are also teaching them how to protect their hearts with Christ Jesus.  We also teach that we all must "Finish Strong" no matter what the start of the race Looks like or how many times we stumble during the race, finishing the race well is our goal. We started Zanshin-Do Ministries. so that we can touch and speak to more that just the people in our dojo.  From community out reach to Tournament Worship Services we "Meet them where they are". We are changing live by turning our focus towards Jesus establishing lifelong disciplines so that through christ we can strongly fight the Battles of this world to the finish.
